Group photo project
A “W. Speight” photograph
This one is very strange. It’s a group photograph with a few local people included,
but we have no idea of when it was taken or what the event was.
What we can say is that it was taken by William Speight, a professional
photographer from Keighley, who signed it at the bottom.
So perhaps it wasn’t a local event ?

About the “Group photographs project”
A number of group photographs have been contributed to our archive with very
little information attached to them. The aim of this project is to capture as much
detail as we can from those who might remember the events and people shown.
For this photograph, the “identifiers” were Margaret Steptoe, Dennis Laycock,
and Rosemary Hargreaves.
We are grateful to all of them.
